Served onboard GOLD crew spring of 66 (Capt. ED's first patrol-the one when we "touched" the bottom on sea trials) thru the refit in Groton and one patrol out of Holy Lock. Reading these bring back lots of memories and puts a smile on an old mans face!!! Thanks for keeping the memories alive.

63 - 67. Was there on that day we touched down, was on watch in the room. I remember it all. I even remember the car the ship bought that the crew could check out and use when we arrived in Hawaii from Mare Island. It had StonyJ painted on the side, "Those were the days my friend."
