Checking in to look for an ELT on the Gold crew 72-73. Spent 2 years at NPTU West Milton following initial qual. Any nukes ever hear about about NPTU organizations? 3 patrols aboard the 634. Don't think anyone called it the Stony J in those days.

Think about those days every now and then from Groten, Rota, Holy Lock, Portsmouth Shipyard and finally Charleston SC. Hope all my old shipmates have had a good life.

As I age my memories on being part of the 634 family means more to me. It's an expirence thats not easy to explain to most people. I was part of something special for a time. 84-90. TAD on the 622 was a trip. Qualified Supe. Great crew. Not a fan of the Locke though. That patrol was a beast. The Captain even tried to convince me to put in a 1306 request. No sideways rain for this kid. Be well all. Coff

A couple guys "mustanged" to Commander Doc Peterman and "Matt" Dillon. I always thought Peterman was a perfect name for a corpsman!

I remember the incident well! But I was on the Blue Crew.

I recall the Blue Crew having the boat in drydock, the Russians interested, etc.
